Teach Thomas your voice/Analyse your writing
Step 4 of 4
Analyse your writing
Paste samples of your own writing so Thomas can learn your personal style.
Open the My Voice tab. This is where Thomas learns to write like you, not just like a preset.

Paste 2-3 samples of your best writing into the text area. These could be blog posts, newsletter intros, social media captions, or anything that represents how you want to sound. Then click Analyse.
Thomas reads your samples and produces:
- An editorial summary — a description of your writing style in plain English
- Auto-set sliders — the tone sliders adjust to match what Thomas detected in your writing

Read through the editorial summary. Does it sound right? If something's off, you can add refinement notes — short instructions like "I'm actually more formal than this" or "I never use exclamation marks" — and click Refine to re-analyse.
The more distinct your writing samples are, the better Thomas can learn your style. Pick pieces where your personality really comes through, not generic content you might have written in a hurry.
Once you're happy with the analysis, click Save to create your personal voice. It will appear as a new pill at the top of the Voice & Style page, ready to use whenever you create an article.
You're all set. Next, you might want to set up your messaging so Thomas knows what your brand stands for.
