Teach Thomas your voice/Adjust your tone
Step 2 of 4
Adjust your tone
Fine-tune the warmth, formality, and energy sliders to match your brand's feel.
With a voice preset selected, open the Tone & Style tab. You'll see three sliders that control how Thomas writes:

- Warmth (0–100) — how personal and friendly the writing feels. Low warmth is neutral and factual; high warmth is like chatting with a friend.
- Formality (0–100) — how polished the language is. Low formality is casual and relaxed; high formality is professional and structured.
- Energy (0–100) — how upbeat the writing is. Low energy is calm and measured; high energy is enthusiastic and punchy.
As you drag each slider, watch the preview pane on the right. Thomas rewrites a sample paragraph in real time so you can hear the difference immediately.

For most children's brands, a good starting point is Warmth around 70, Formality around 30-40, and Energy around 50-60. But trust your ear — if the preview sounds like you, you're in the right place.
When you adjust sliders on a built-in preset, Thomas will ask you to save your changes as a new custom voice. This keeps the original presets intact so you can always come back to them.
