Set up your messaging

Define your brand pillars and signature phrases so every article stays on-message.

Messaging pillars are the key themes your brand stands for. When Thomas writes an article, it automatically selects the most relevant pillars and weaves them into the content. In this guide, you'll create your pillars and optionally add signature phrases.

What you'll need

  • A brand set up in Thomas (see Set up your brand)
  • A sense of the 3-5 key messages your brand wants to communicate

  1. Create a pillar — define a messaging theme with a name and description
  2. Add signature phrases — optionally add verbatim lines Thomas can use for emphasis
  3. Activate and deactivate — control which pillars Thomas uses when writing
